Natural Mosquito repellent...
With our South African summer coming into full bloom, the mosquitoes have their little zappers ready.
There are quite a few recipes out there, and I can share a few more if you’d like, but I truly believe in this one — I’ve been making it for the past few years every mosquito season.
This is my own natural mosquito repellent — made without any harmful ingredients, only pure goodness for your skin. It is also easy to make and affordable:
Ingredients:
Aqueous cream (non scented)
5 drops of lavender 100% essential oil (repel mozzies, soothe the skin and calm the mind)
5 drops of eucalyptus 100% essential oil (powerful natural repellent in combination with lemon)
5 drops of lemon 100% essential oil
Instructions:
Fill a 100ml empty container glass or plastic with Aqueous cream.
Drop the essential oils in the Aqueous cream.
Mix everything very well.
Apply once or twice throughout the night, to the areas of your body where the mozzies love to launch their little zappers.
Make sure to keep a lid on the container and store at room temperature.
