Phuthaditjhaba, meaning “meeting place of nations” in Sesotho, is a vibrant town in the northeastern Free State.

Nestled at the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg and Maluti Mountains, it is known for its striking natural surroundings.

Once the capital of the former QwaQwa Bantustan, the town remains an important centre within the Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality. Located close to the Lesotho border, Phuthaditjhaba plays a key role in the region’s industrial, agricultural, and educational development.
