Newcastle is the third-largest city in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and serves as one of the province’s key industrial hubs. The city is supported by four well-established industrial areas that play an important role in regional manufacturing and economic activity.
Most of Newcastle’s residents live in Newcastle East, which includes the main townships of Madadeni and Osizweni, while the remainder of the population is based in Newcastle West, home to the city’s central business, residential, and commercial districts.
