May today be a reminder to slow down, settle your mind, and simply breathe.
Take a moment to step away from the noise, recharge your energy, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t always have to be rushing forward — sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause.
Let this day bring you calm, clarity, and a quiet kind of strength as you ease into the weekend.

Sometimes you just need to step outside of your comfort zone and experience something different.
I have tried Twitter, okay X as you know it now, Instagram and yes for many moons Facebook.
In the end I spent endless hours on something that never made my community or country better.
So if my friends and family want to see updates about my life or what we are up to then they can find me here.
I have no interest to be on Facebook anymore as I am tired of the endless fake friend request and fake account all telling me I won lots of money or that they can show me to become rich overnight.
Every second wasted with those fake accounts, I can never get back.
So I am happy to be here and support MySA with all my heart.
Thank you for what you are trying to build for us as online users.

I just have to say — it feels amazing to finally be on a social network that actually focuses on our people, our communities, and our local economy.
Every time I use it, I feel like I’m doing more than just scrolling — I’m helping local businesses grow, supporting real people, and being part of something that truly makes a difference right here at home.
It’s such a refreshing change to be on a platform that celebrates us — the makers, the dreamers, the doers.
Here’s to keeping it local, lifting each other up, and building something meaningful together.

My name is Rickus Swanepoel, and I’m the face behind Manly Baker Boutiquery.
Listening to people’s stories and turning them into edible works of art is what truly brings me joy. I want every person to feel that wow moment when they see — and taste — my creations.
Manly Baker Boutiquery was founded in 2013 in a small flat, where I started out baking cupcakes for a colleague. Nearly 13 years later, I still feel that same excitement and fulfilment every time an order is complete.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find me out jogging or hiking, recharging my creativity in nature.
Every cake I create tells a story.
I look forward to being part of your special moment and turning it into memories of cake

Currently sitting outside with a cold drink, music in the background, and honestly this is exactly how weekends should feel.

From vibrant fandom at Comic-Con Africa lighting up Johannesburg, to the steel giants battling for survival, and our rugby stars reshuffling the world order—our country pulses with stories of resilience, reinvention, and dreams in motion.
In a world where comics and cosplay unite tens of thousands under one roof, even amid economic tremors like ArcelorMittal’s looming 4,000 job cuts, our youth defiantly rebuild and redefine what it means to belong here. And then there’s Dewald Brevis, smashing cricket records at just 22—and reminding us how fresh talent can reset expectations in an instant.
So here’s to South Africa: where pop culture collides with gritty reality, where new voices rise even as old structures shift, and where hope is always unwritten. From vibrant fandom at Comic-Con Africa lighting up Johannesburg, to the steel giants battling for survival, and our rugby stars reshuffling the world order—our country pulses with stories of resilience, reinvention, and dreams in motion. Being a mom in South Africa comes with its own set of challenges, but also so many moments of pride. From teaching my kids about the importance of diversity and resilience to showing them the beauty of our culture, every day is an opportunity to shape the next generation of South African leaders.
We may face tough times, but it’s our ability to come together as families, as communities, that makes us strong. I’m teaching my little ones that no matter where they come from, they can make a difference in this world. 💖
To all the moms out there—your hard work is seen, your love is felt, and your impact is immeasurable.
