In the old days you had your landline and when it rang you knew it was someone that knows yo and they just wanted to check in or ask something.

Petrol station drama today: guy in front of me ran out of cash halfway through filling up.
Everyone had to wait, including me.

This morning I witnessed something remarkable.
As I was standing in line to pay for my half a basket groceries that probably would end up costing another arm and a leg, I saw a young man in front of me.
The very old lady in front of him was about to pay when he offered and paid for her months groceries by the looks of it.
He then placed his basket on the floor and only took out 2 items and paid for that and left the rest.
When I saw him in the parking lot I asked him why he left his own items in the basket at the till.
He told me he did not have enough money left after helping the old lady.
Said that he can survive on bread and Oros for the week and it will not kill him.
In his heart he knows the old lady will at least have a better month ahead of her and that is all that matters to him.

Morning everybody
I miss the morning kitchen smell of freshly baked ginger cookies my mum use to make.
Those were the days as a child I can still remember when life was a lot less complicated.
