From Feeling Invisible to Finding My Flame Again
There was a time not too long ago when I felt more like a maid than a wife.
My days were a blur of cooking, cleaning, and caring, but deep down, I felt unseen, unheard, and unvalued. I wasn’t angry at my husband, he was doing what he knew. But I was drowning quietly inside… not because of him, but because I had forgotten me.
I had started a business.
And yet, despite all my effort and passion, I hadn’t made a cent.
I was transforming on the inside, growing, healing, learning, but at the same time, I felt stuck in every other part of my life. I was outgrowing old versions of myself, even parts of my marriage, yet I couldn’t move forward the way I wanted to. No car. No money. No sense of direction, except for this one quiet whisper that wouldn’t go away:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
And that’s when I began to understand that sometimes, God keeps us in the waiting room because He’s preparing us for a new season, one that requires the wisdom, faith, and strength we can only gain through the struggle.
So I stopped fighting it.
I started thanking Him instead.
Every morning, I start my day with gratitude, not for what I want, but for what I already have. For the roof over my head. For my husband’s effort. For the lessons I was learning in the fire.
And slowly, something changed.
When I invited God back into everything, my marriage, my mindset, my purpose, I started to see how generational patterns and unhealed wounds had shaped so much of my life. I realized that healing wasn’t just about moving forward; it was about releasing what was never mine to carry.
Forgiveness became my freedom.
Awareness became my power.
And God became my anchor.
If you’re in that season right now, feeling stuck, unseen, or like you’ve lost yourself, please hear this: you’re not behind. You’re being refined. You’re being molded by the Potter’s hand for something far greater than you can see right now.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
So hold on, beautiful sister.
Your story isn’t over, it’s being rewritten by grace.
